Salons, pools, gyms to reopen

Governor Greg Abbott has announced that hair salons and pools will be allowed to reopen Friday, with gyms following on May 18. Regulations are in place for reopening. Only one customer will be allowed to receive salon services at a time. Those waiting for services after the current customer must maintain a 6-foot separation or wait outside the salon or shop.

City pools will reopen only if local government permits. When reopened, they will be limited to 25% capacity. Gyms are also mandated to operate at 25% capacity or less. Showers and locker rooms will be closed, and equipment must be disinfected after each use.
