Camp County Retired Personnel - May 9 Camp County Retired Personnel will honor two scholarship recipients with a covered dish meal Thursday, May 9 at 11 a.m. at the Pittsburg ISD Administration Office. All retired school personnel are invited to attend.

Pitt Elite Track Club Sign-ups - Through May 10 The Nonprofit 6th Annual Pitt Elite Track Club is now accepting runners. Signups are going on until May 10 for boys and girls ages 5-18. Mother-Son Dance - May 18 Cub Scout Pack 2610 will host a Mother-Son Dance Saturday, May 18 from 7-9 p.m. at the Aubrey Pilgrim Heritage Center at 402 Broach St. in Pittsburg. The dance is for all boys and the special motherly figure in their life. Tickets are $5 per person at the door. Proceeds benefit the Cub Scouts summer camp fund. For questions, call 903-285-3350.

Macedonia Memorial Service - May 2-5 Macedonia Baptist Church will host its annual memorial service Sunday, May 5 at 10:30 a.m. A brief business meeting will follow at 1:15 p.m. The guest speaker will be Ps. Ross French. Special music will also be provided. Everyone is invited to bring a covered dish for dinner on the grounds. Donations to the Macedonia Cemetery Association will be taken at the gate Thursday afternoon, May 2, through Sunday, May 5, at noon, or may be mailed to Kim Daily, P. O. Piney Grove Homecoming - May 5

Piney Grove Baptist Church in Leesburg will host its  147th Homecoming Celebration Sunday, May 5 at 10 a.m. The guest speaker will be Bro. Jerry Noble. There will be a covered dish luncheon after the service.

Men’s Day Program - May 5 St. Stephen AME Church will be having its annual Men’s Day Program May 5 at starting at 3 p.m. The guest speaker will be Rev. W.L. Chism from Living Green Baptist Church.

Pine Bluff Family & Friends Day - May 5 Pine Bluff First Baptist Church in Pittsburg will host its Family & Friends Day Sunday, May 5 at 3 p.m. The church is inviting all church congregations in the area to fellowship with them in a day-long worship experience. The regular morning service begins at 11 a.m. with Ps. E.A. Ballard Jr. The main event starts at 3 p.m. with Ps. M.D. Johnson along with Dale Chapel Baptist Church in Tyler. Dinner will be served following the service.
