There were six of the nine candidates running for the new Congressional District 32 on the platform at Living Water Church in Pittsburg on January 15, 2026. Susan Hamilton, Camp County Republican Party Vice President, welcomed the more than 80 attendees. County Judge A J Mason opened the meeting with a prayer. Harold Kennington, Jr. hosted and presented the candidates with questionsfromtheaudience.
The City of Pittsburg met for their first meeting of 2026 on Monday, January 12, 2026, at 4:00. Quorum was met with Mayor David Abernathy, City Manager, Clint Hardeman, City Councilman Pro Tem Rico Willis, and fellow Council Members Todd Diviney, and John Livingston. Patti Ayers and Larry Hamilton were absent. City Secretary Maricela Fuentes, was in attendance.
January 12, 2026, Mr. Albert Cletes Stogsdill became 102 years old. He is currently living at Southern Wind Manor, in Pittsburg, Texas.
The Pittsburg Pirates boys soccer team is currently 5-0-1 after competing in the Sulphur Springs and Pine Tree Invitational tournament the past two weekends.
