Athletic Director and Head Football Coach Brad Baca announce Monday, Mar. 30, that Pirate Football has hired Brenton Whitaker, former Marshall assistant coach and veteran offensive master-mind as the Pirates’ new offensive coordinator and offensive line coach. Coach Whitaker was raised in Royse City. Whitaker is married to his wife Abby, and the couple have 5 children.

We’re all feeling the drag right now. Schools and restaurants are closed, the movie theaters are closed, we’re discouraged from shopping, parks have limits on attendance... Suddenly, the things we enjoyed doing are unavailable to us. It’s okay to feel a bit overwhelmed with the lack of normalcy. We’ve all been thrust into this new way of life that involves entertaining our children every hour of the day. We want our children to have fun, but we also want them to learn while they’re out of school. To aid in this, I have compiled a short list of fun, educational crafts and activities you can do with your child.
