Restaurants, retail to reopen at limited capacity

Last week, Governor Greg Abbot announced that he had formed a strike team to create a plan to reopen the state. On Monday, this plan was announced. All retail stores, restaurants, movie theaters, and malls will be allowed to reopen on Friday, May 1. These businesses must limit their capacity to 25% of their listed occupancy. In shopping malls, the food-court dining areas, play areas, and interactive displays must remain closed.

New business comes to Pittsburg

Plans for the construction zone on the north side of Hwy. 271 have finally been announced. The site, where months ago, a house was demolished and land was flattened, will now become a truck stop and restaurant.

DSHS confirms 5 of 6 Camp County COVID-19 cases have fully recovered

On Thursday, County Judge A.J. Mason announced that five of the six cases of COVID-19 in Camp County have been deemed fully recovered.

School board discusses changes to AP program

At the Pittsburg ISD school board meeting on April 20, changes to the AP program were discussed. The AP program may soon be a thing of the past to make way for less expensive, more beneficial options.
