Pirate Marching Band’s drum major, Skyler Brown, was announced as the Razorback Band’s newest majorette on April 24. She will join four other majorettes and two feature twirlers in the marching band. Brown said that she decided a month before auditions that she wanted to continue
On May 2, County Judge A.J. Mason announced the confirmation of a seventh positive COVID-19 case in Camp County. Mason said of the news from DSHS: “This evening we received notification from the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) of a seventh positive COVID-19 case in Camp County. No further information was provided. Our Local Health Authority will work closely with DSHS to obtain further information.”
On May 4, Pittsburg ISD announced the Lady Pirates who had achieved recognition from Texas High School Coaches Association for success in academics and athletics, as well as results in All-District Soccer.
Drivers in Camp County should avoid traveling through the intersection of Rusk and Quitman Streets at this time. Crews are present installing new traffic lights in the intersection.
