The County Extension Agents for Agriculture and Natural Resources in Camp, Franklin, Red River and Titus Counties are working together to provide the Quad County Cattlemen’s Conference to be held virtually Friday, May 15th from 8 AM-1 PM. This program will cover topics including weed identification and control options, the economic value of a set calving season and value-added marketing, vaccination protocols for beef cattle, external parasite control and a cattle market update from our Extension Economist. This program will offer producers who have a Texas Department of Agriculture Pesticide Applicator License 2 CEUs.
AUSTIN — An executive order issued by Gov. Greg Abbott to reopen in-store retail shopping, dine-in restaurants, movie theaters, museums, libraries and more took effect May 1 and will continue through May 15.
Last week, a resident in a local neighborhood erected a large American flag, hung upside-down and emblazoned with 86 45 in large black numbers. Neighbors say they suspect that these numbers mean to rid the country of President Donald Trump, America’s 45th Commander in Chief.
