American Legion Annual Memorial Day Program

Gordon Mattison American Legion Post 422 invites everyone to its annual Memorial Day program. The program will be held at the Veterans Monument on the courthouse grounds on Monday, May 25th at twelve noon. For your safety during this COVID-19 pandemic, our post will comply with County Judge A. J. Mason’s guidance that the state requires social distancing. The Post will provide some chairs but guests may want to bring their own. We are hoping to have a great turnout to honor our fallen military heroes. In case of rain, the program will be canceled.

Ebenezer Cemetery Association cancels Memorial Day program

The Ebenezer Cemetery Board has decided it is in the best interest during COVID-19 that we cancel the annual memorial day at the cemetery. We want you to be aware that we may not be able to meet in person at our specific scheduled time, but we are continuing to maintain the cemetery grounds and welcome you to visit the cemetery on your own time. We also would ask that donations be mailed to Ebenezer Cemetery Association 315 Rusk Street Pittsburg, Texas 75686 to help fund the continued maintenance of the cemetery.

Area banks, NTCC sponsor buy-one-get-one-free summer class for 2020 high school graduates

Area community banks have partnered with Northeast Texas Community College to offer graduating high school seniors a buy-one-get-one-free class during NTCC’s summer term. Any 2020 high school graduate is eligible for the exclusive offer, regardless of where they live.
