PATRICK SCOTT HONZELL

Patrick Scott Honzell, at the age of 45, on Oct. 30, 2021 departed from Tyler to Heaven. He was born Dec. 17, 1975, arriving on his Dad’s birthday.

Patrick was an avid hunter and loved the outdoors. To know him was to love him. Whatever trail he took, he marked it with smiles. Patrick loved riding the backroads with Freda.

Patrick enjoyed working at Pittsburg Steel where he was a supervisor. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.

Patrick leaves behind his daughters Morgan and Abigal, a grandson Carter Gudino, his dad BC Honzell, his mother Neida Clifton Smith, a nephew Joseph Honzell and his significant other Freda Hallonquist.

Patrick was preceded in death by his little brother Philip Paul Honzell. Fraternal grandparents were Bishop and Susie Honzell; maternal grandparents were Elmer and Ruby Cifton.

Visitation was held Nov. 4 at Erman Smith’s Funeral Home Chapel, Brother Ben Warrick officiating. Interment followed at Willow Oak Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Wesley Richardson, Matt Garrett, Joey Smith, Jeff Janway, James Folsom, Brandon Wilkes, and Jody Yandle. Honorary pallbearers were Clen Honzell and Boo Cummings under direction of Erman Smith Funeral Home.

Don’t think of him as gone away--

His journey’s just begun.

Life holds so many facets;

This earth is only one.

Just think of him as resting

From the sorrows and the tears,

In a place of warmth and comfort

Where there are no days and years.

And think of him as living

In the hearts of those he touched…

For nothing loved is ever lost.

And he was loved so much.
