Morris Manual Capps
On Tuesday, March 22, 2022, Morris Manual Capps, loving husband, brother, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully at the age of 84.
Morris was born March 3,1938 in Marrieta, Texas and was the second youngest of 14 children born to Lorenzo and Maude May Capps.
After serving in the United States Army, Morris began a long career as a short-haul truck driver which he worked until his retirement.
He retired to Lake Bob Sandlin with his loving wife of 42 years, Patsy, and enjoyed many summers on the water and playing cards with friends and family.
A man of humble beginnings, Morris was known as a hard worker, a kind and generous man who was always ready to help a friend in need. He was caring, thoughtful and very slow to anger. Morris was an excellent role model as a husband and demonstrated his love for Patsy in many ways.
Morris will be memorialized at a Celebration of Life at First United Methodist Church in Pittsburg, Texas on Saturday, April 2 at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the cancer foundation of choice.
Morris is survived by his wife, Patsy, sons Lloyd Capps and Lowan Capps, step-children Jennifer Kelley and Skip Harrison, sister Peggy Bellamy and brother Buford Capps, as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
