CLAY

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our Dear Sister Willie Carol Clay who died suddenly on Thursday morning April 22nd at Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler Texas.

Carol is the daughter of the late Willie and Faye Clay. She was the youngest of five girls; Faye Lanelle Roberts who preceded her in death. She leavesto mourn sisters Claudette Hamilton of Marana AZ, Rochelle (Thomas) Hill of Pittsburg Texas and Paulette Shaffner of Dallas Texas. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and other relatives and friends who love and are already missing her.

Carol was a member of the Douglass High School Class of 1965. She was a strong member of Spring Hill Baptist Church. It was the belief of many that she was the glue that held the church together after the deaths of her Aunt Nina and her mother.

She will be funeralized on Saturday, May 1st at 11:00 A.M. at Pine Bluff Baptist Church 406 Fulton Street Pittsburg Texas.

Contributions to the Douglass Alumni Association are preferred to flowers.
